Student Council
Student Council begins in September with student campaigns, speeches and elections; fifth through eighth graders may participate. Four officers are elected for the entire year and representatives from each grade are elected for half the year. A second election is held in February. Student Council provides the opportunity for students to develop leadership skills, respect for others, and global responsibility. Members meet twice a week for the entire school year to discuss issues facing the student body and to plan programs for the Upper School students. Student fundraising activities, such as $1 pajama day and the breakfast snack cart, support dances and other events throughout the year.
