At Cohen Hillel Academy, we pride ourselves on serving our children by meeting their individual needs. This commitment is strongly evidenced in our Learning Center, where we work closely with students, building their skills and encouraging them to take on new challenges. We are able to provide direct services across a range of areas including reading, written language, math, organizational and study skills, and speech-language therapy. We also arrange Hebrew support for those students transferring into our school who do not have prior day school experience.

Our Learning Center staff is comprised of dedicated full- and part-time professionals including, a director of student services, two reading specialists, a math specialist, two speech-language pathologists, an inclusion specialist, an educational therapist, and a consulting school psychologist. In addition to offering direct services, using both pull-out and in-class models, Learning Center staff members monitor student progress, serve as on-site resources for our teachers, attend meetings with parents, teachers, and other specialists, and develop individualized curricula.
